Tian JinJin

Cat Lover, Wax Seal Enthusiast, and 3D Modeling Enthusiast

I am a passionate cat lover, dedicated to my feline companions, and I'm also an avid collector of wax seal stamps. In my leisure hours, I channel my creativity into the captivating world of 3D modeling, where I bring my visions to life and explore endless possibilities.

ABOUT

Tian JinJin, born in Kunming, China in 1996, was raised by her mother during the one-child policy period. She completed her elementary, middle, and high school education in her hometown. Following her secondary education, she pursued her Bachelor of Software Engineering at Tongji University in Shanghai from September 2014 to July 2018. During her time at Tongji University, she excelled academically and was awarded a scholarship for outstanding students in Yunnan province.

After graduation, Tian JinJin was employed by a pharmaceutical company in Kunming, where she was responsible for internal system maintenance. She loves animals, so when she has time and money to support animals, she does it. She adopted a cat which suffered feline plague and named him Pangpang in August 2019, and in July 2023, she participated in a stray cat rescue program, adopting a stray cat named Benben, who was just 4 months old.

Due to the seasonal nature of her work, she had ample spare time to pursue her hobbies in the multimedia field, such as creating wax seals. She also delved into the world of 3D modeling by watching YouTube tutorials. With the skills she developed, she realized the importance of professional education, which led to her decision to pursue a Multimedia program in Canada.

MY ANIMALS

Pangpang

PangPang, short for 'Fat Fat,' is the first furball that came into my life in the autumn of 2018. His personality is incredibly amiable, though not particularly agile. Despite that, he is extremely adorable. His journey has been quite tumultuous as he traveled all the way from Northeast China to my aunt's place before falling victim to a fur-related illness. With my aunt's busy schedule, she couldn't care for him, so she entrusted him to me.

At the age of 6, PangPang has experienced remarkable growth, transitioning from his initial 1-kilogram frame to a more robust 5 kilograms. He has forged a deep bond of trust with both me and my family.

DangDang is my second cat, and he joined my family in the spring of 2020. He's now five years old. DangDang has a big appetite and often gives off an aloof vibe. Compared to my other cat, PangPang, he is more agile. One time, he even managed to push my microwave off the table, which was quite surprising! Despite his somewhat aloof demeanor, he's great friends with PangPang. They play together and go on adventures, making them lovely companions in our household.

GuGu is actually my second bird and the only one I can interact with. He never pecks at me. He was just weaned when he came home, and I've been feeding him parrot formula ever since. His head isn't quite normal; it rotates 360 degrees. My mom says he looks like he had a stroke, but he's incredibly affectionate and cute.

COLLECTION

butterfly

Since 2020, I've been collecting wax seals. This type of wax seal was one of the first things I learned to make. The vintage color palettes, combined with the application of gold wax onto the designs, gives them a distinctly retro feel.

The seal is named Covenant of Stars and Moons, and it lives up to its name. I crafted this wax seal using transparent glue sticks, glitter, and wax paste.

The name of this seal is "Speedwell." It takes its inspiration from the artist's observations and sketches of the Speedwell flower. It exudes a sense of simple beauty, as if adding more colors would compromise its innate beauty.

tea flower

I created a wax seal featuring camellia flowers using wax granules of various colors.

flower

This is a wax seal with a flower design, and I attached beads as the flower's center.

gift bear

This wax seal is named 'Flowers and Butterflies,' where the petals blend into the wings of the butterfly.

firstsight

This one is called "First Encounter," and I interpret it as the first encounter with spring.
